My name is Patrick Stellmach, 38 years old. For twelve years I worked as an engineer, until my life changed fundamentally: in 2012 I was diagnosed with MS. In 2020, a separation, the pandemic and a long-planned round-the-world trip that fell through were added to that. The years that followed were marked by overload, illness and the feeling of being stuck in a system that no longer did me good. The turning point came where you'd least expect it: in the calm of animals.

Alpacas – often called „dolphins of the pasture“ – have a special, almost meditative composure. They ground you, they slow you down, they give you presence. Out of this connection came the decision, in 2024, to let go of my secure career and start something new – something that makes sense not just economically, but humanly too.

At the start of 2025 we began with seven alpacas on our farm in Ensingen near Vaihingen an der Enz, on the edge of the vineyards. Today we offer guided alpaca hikes, animal-assisted therapy and a selection of premium alpaca wool products. We work exclusively with regional partners such as Weingut Walz, Ensinger Mineralwasser and the inclusion enterprise Seemühle – people and businesses who share the same values: closeness, quality, responsibility.

Our customers are looking for something different from mass-produced goods:

Warmth without sweating, nature without plastic, quality without compromise.

Many are sensitive to cold, many value hypoallergenic products, many want to know where their clothing really comes from. Others simply want things that have meaning again – handmade products with a story and a real origin.

Some of our products are made from the wool of our own animals. In addition, we work with selected family businesses – including Apu Kuntur in Peru, one of the most renowned manufacturers of high-quality, fairly produced alpaca textiles.

The quality comes from the fiber itself (micron, staple length, processing) and from people who take their craft seriously.

We want to be the first port of call for everyone who

As a father of four children, and as someone who has been through health low points himself, I know how important it is to focus on what really matters. My colleagues called my step brave – for me it was necessary.
