A calm guest on an exciting day
Weddings are loud, tightly scheduled and full of appointments. Our alpacas are the opposite.
They simply stand there, graze, look at you – and create exactly the pause that's often missing on a day like this. No petting-zoo act, no costumes, no kitsch. Just real animals in a real vineyard setting, letting your guests catch their breath for a few minutes.
Whether for a few photos, welcoming your guests or as a small part of the programme in between – we adapt to your day, not the other way round.
Why alpacas fit a wedding
Alpacas don't react to status, to the wedding dress, or to the seating plan. They react to calm.
That's exactly what makes them an unusually good companion for a day when everything else is planned down to the minute:
- -> They're no substitute for small talk – but a great icebreaker for guests who don't know each other yet
- -> They deliver photo opportunities no one else has – without a staged pose
- -> They make everyone involved – including the couple – slow down for a few minutes
And because we never crowd our animals or let anyone ride them, they stay relaxed. That's exactly what comes through in the photos – and in the mood.
Your options with us
There's no single off-the-shelf "alpaca wedding package". Instead, we talk to you beforehand about what fits your day – here are the most common options:
You come to our pasture with the couple or the whole wedding party – ideally in the warm light of late afternoon. One or two calm alpacas are available for photos, no costumes, no staging.
Ideal if you want real, unposed pictures instead of a studio backdrop.
Your guests arrive – and are greeted by grazing alpacas instead of just a parking attendant. A calm, relaxed start to the day before things officially begin.
Works well before the ceremony or as a lead-in to the champagne reception.
You celebrate part of the day right here with us, on the edge of the vineyards – with alpacas in view instead of behind a petting-zoo fence. For wine and catering we work with regional partners.
We coordinate size and schedule individually with you, depending on guest numbers and season.
Got your own idea that isn't listed here? Tell us about it. We'll give you an honest answer on what's possible with the animals and on our pasture – and what isn't.
How you plan your date with us
First, send us a short message about what you have in mind – via the form below, a rough idea is enough, no finished concept needed.
Then we'll work out the date, guest numbers and preferred format together, by phone or email. You'll get an honest answer from us on what's feasible – including a tailored offer.
On the day itself, we take care of the animals so you can focus on your wedding. The pasture is our home in (almost) any weather – for worst-case scenarios, we agree on an alternative with you in advance.
CONCLUSION: No petting-zoo act, no costumes, no kitsch – just real calm on your big day.
Who's with you on the day
Who's behind Ensinger Alpakas
My name is Patrick Stellmach, 38 years old. For twelve years I worked as an engineer, until my life changed fundamentally. The turning point came where you'd least expect it: in the calm of the animals.
In early 2025 we started with our first alpacas on our farm in Ensingen near Vaihingen an der Enz, on the edge of the vineyards. Today we run guided alpaca hikes, team events – and moments like your wedding. Always with the same standard: honest, calm, animal-appropriate.
When you book us, you're not booking an agency – you're booking us, our animals and our farm.
Tell us about your day
A date, an approximate guest count and your idea are enough to start. We usually get back to you within 24 hours with an honest response and a tailored offer.
