The inner compass – why it decides performance and balance

Picture an experienced sailing crew on the open sea: the GPS has failed, a storm is closing in. Even so, they find their way back to safe harbour in poor visibility – because they trust their compass.

When people and teams are cut off from their inner compass, that same connection to the body is missing. In a stressful working day, feelings often have no place – everything gets decided in the head. Without this emotional navigation system, performance and balance tip over time.

This is exactly where our resilience seminar comes in: a day that brings mind and body back together – with an experienced mental coach in the morning and real alpacas in the afternoon.

Alpacas before a teambuilding event

For teams who can feel it: this can't go on much longer

Is the working day taking its toll, is communication breaking down, is constant stress making people ill? Our resilience seminar supports people and teams who want to relearn how to:

  • -> switch off stress and stay productive
  • -> regain their focus
  • -> find balance between work and personal life

With Thomas Richard's experience as a coach, project lead and manager, clarity and space for strong teams emerge – combined with the direct, honest feedback our alpacas give in the afternoon.

How your day unfolds

One day, two perspectives: mental clarity in the morning, a lived experience with the alpacas in the afternoon. Location: our farm in Ensingen near Vaihingen an der Enz. Duration: approx. 6 hours.

Before you head outside to work with the alpacas, mental coach Thomas Richard creates clarity: where does your team really stand right now? What's costing energy, and what's giving it back?

Not a dry theory lecture, but an interactive stock-take that lays the foundation for the afternoon.

A shared break with catering on site – time to arrive and talk informally before heading out to the pasture. Lunch is included in the seminar.

What you worked through mentally in the morning, you experience directly with the animals in the afternoon: alpacas don't respond to words, but to behavior – to calm, clear leadership and genuine presence.

Patrick Stellmach, himself a career-changer from engineer to alpaca keeper, guides you hands-on out on the pasture.

Phones stay away for the duration of the seminar. No checking emails on the side – full presence for you, your team and the animals.

This deliberate break is part of what makes it work, not just a footnote.

Patrick Stellmach – Trainer for handling alpacas

For twelve years I was an engineer, until the calm of the alpacas led me onto a new path in 2024. Since early 2025 I've lived and worked with our animals on the farm in Ensingen near Vaihingen an der Enz.

In the resilience seminar I take on the practical part: transferring the morning's insights out onto the pasture, in direct contact with the alpacas – calm, honest and without staging.
